An orchestra conducted by more than one conductor will be very chaotic, 'cos ensuring everyone is in sync is one of the jobs the conductor needs to play.
Maybe using a company is more suitable: when the company is run by a sole proprietor , he probably has difficulties ensuring marketing/publicity, product development, funding, accounting, etc. are all running at optimal pace. But when he hires specialists to focus on different aspects of the company, the company can be more efficient.
