QUIC (by Google) set to replace TCP
Seems that TCP is being replace with QUIC:
And will be used by the new HTTP3 standard:
So TCP is one less thing to worry about

Mostly because everybody else is doing absolutely nothing about it.

I’m sure Google would love to see TCP replaced with their own protocol, but why should we let them dictate the architecture of the internet?

Cloudflare and Firefox as joined Google on that effort, check the second article:
Since then, we’ve been working with industry peers through the Internet Engineering Task Force, including Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, to iterate on the HTTP/3 and QUIC standards documents. In parallel with the standards maturing, we’ve also worked on improving support on our network.
