DRY stands for “Don’t Repeat Yourself”
“Do not repeat yourself” would be DNRY.

That’s true, but I didn’t want to change an established acronym. I can’t remember if I first encountered it in Pragmatic Programmer or Code Complete - but I’ve seen it used for at least 20 years, so it’s not my acronym to change.
