well 5 stages of grief also happened in dotcom bubble, but it’s much more pronounced now.

Oh really? Let’s talk in a year, when people will yield the results of all that stuff developed with “less hardcore engineering.”

It’s exactly the opposite: because of LLMs the demand for hardcore engineering is at the highest level.
