The algorithm shown for exercise 36 describes calculating the standard deviation for the population, but the example value shows the standard deviation for the sample.
Population std dev from example values: 353.5533906
Sample std dev from example values: 408.2482905
Additionally, the value shown in the book appears to be a typo: 400.25 (instead of 408.25).
