Redis is arguably the most well regarded tech of all. But many times you do
not need Redis. Here are 3 examples from my last 3 jobs.

Never really got to use Redis in any project I was involved in. Hoping to learn and use it in the near future.

I could be wrong, but Rails was a big contributor to Redis’ popularity and it did a good job at it. But the focus now is on the database and with faster machines and its new license system which prompted a fork, it’s clear that people are seeing differently.
This article was a great highlight of how Redis really isn’t necessary in some or most cases. From now on it’s all power to the database!
