Discovered uv last year and it’s been my mainstay. The author’s article gives a nice starter way to get started, I had to learn the hard way by using the docs.

Also, one pointer: uv is not good with global installation of packages i.e. uv is optimized for virtual environments.. Something to keep in mind, if you choose to use it.

I’ve been using pyenv for all of my previous projects, will try UV in the next one.
