Empirical Methods for Artificial Intelligence by Paul R. Cohen in 1995 (not 2017 as the MIT Press suggests; also 65 USD for the paperback is kinda solid)

The book is an introduction to statistical thinking and analysis to help in deciding whether your newly invented AI algorithm is actually any good.
