I believe it’s perfect especially in your baby steps in application programming. You can use it together with oxygen-sounds and limit your initial assets work only to your custom branding.

There are some nice icon packs out there and I would usually say pick one that suits the project, hence you might pick a certain style for an app or site about toys, and another for a business oriented application
